🌍 SUNCAST Code of Conduct¶
SUNCAST is committed to fostering an open, welcoming, inclusive, and respectful environment for all contributors, users, and collaborators.
This Code of Conduct applies to all SUNCAST spaces, including:
- GitHub repositories and discussions,
- issue trackers and Pull Request threads,
- workshops, meetings, and training events,
- community communication channels.

- Harassment or discrimination of any kind

- Publishing private information without explicit permission
- Sustained disruption of discussions or meetings
- Intentionally harmful or deceptive actions
🧭 Enforcement Responsibilities¶
- The SUNCAST Governance Board (once established), or
- the provisional PI-led governance team
will oversee enforcement of this Code of Conduct.
Project maintainers and community organizers are encouraged to report issues or seek guidance from the governing team.
🚩 Reporting Misconduct¶
If you witness or experience a violation of this Code of Conduct, please report it confidentially to:
suncast-admin@njit.edu
(or the official contact address designated by the Governance Board)
Reports will be handled with discretion and care. Retaliation for reporting is not tolerated.
🛠 Enforcement Guidelines¶
Possible responses to violations include:
- Warning — for minor or accidental violations.
- Temporary Ban — for repeated or more serious violations.
- Permanent Ban — for harassment, threats, or sustained harmful behavior.
The exact response will depend on the severity and context of the situation.
